"The best thing about being a RAW member is the people"
I gave playing football in 2014 and spent a few years attending various gyms to watch MTV and think up a reason to leave and get away from not only the environment, but ‘some’ of the people.
I overheard a particularly loud outdoor session at RAW Inc when they were based at Crow Lane while playing golf one day, and decided to find out what was going on.
April 2017 I went to my first RAW training session, and caught the bug immediately. The atmosphere, the people and the level of intensity was exactly what I was looking for and I was soon signing up for a membership and doing 3-4 sessions a week.
Gym membership promptly cancelled, I started to increase the types of training I was doing, adding some individual weight work to my exercise routine, and taking nutritional advice from the training team.
Over 2 years later, regularly doing 5-6 sessions per week and even involving my 14 year old daughter at least twice a week training with me, I couldn’t imagine life without RAW. I’m currently fitter, lighter and generally feel healthier than I have done in the last 10 years and progress in on-going.
Aside from the obvious fitness, health and body composition benefits, the best thing about being a RAW member is the people. I have met some truly fantastic people. They are so welcoming, encouraging and truly embrace other members during and outside of training sessions. I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve felt like I cannot complete anymore burpees, shuttle runs or push presses, until one of the others gives you a scream of motivation, “you’ve got this!” and before you know it, you’ve completed more than you thought possible.
